Transfer of Credit ( Credit for Previous Training ): PTT welcomes applications for admission from students who have studied at other credit transfer program post-secondary education institutions. Credit transfer program applicants are subject to the regular admission requirements of the school.
Credit transfer in trade schools of PTTI is acceptable from post-secondary institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and legitimate foreign institutions as determined by the school. Credit transfer in trade schools of PTTI will be granted on a course-by-course basis based upon substantially equivalent course content. No course for which a student received a grade of less than 2.0 (“C” or equivalent) will be accepted for transfer. PTT reserves the right to validate the student’s knowledge through assessment mechanisms before accepting transfer credit. Regardless of how many credits a student may obtain through transfer or other means, each student must earn at least 50% of all clock hours in their program “in-residence” at PTT.
Transferability of PTT Credit: The acceptance of transfer credit from PTT by another institution is solely at the discretion of the receiving institution. Due to the technical nature of PTT’s programs, the transfer of credit may be limited. Therefore, students considering transferring to other institutions should consult with that institution to determine their policies, procedures, and willingness to accept credit from Philadelphia Technician Training Institute.
