  • Candidates must be very selective about which program they want to pursue since there is no provision for switching programs midstream.

Important information about financial aid programs

Financial Aid consists of different forms of student aid such as grants in aid, trade school grants and scholarships, and low-interest loans, which help students pay for school. Loans need to be paid after graduation or six months after enrollment. To qualify for Financial Aid, you must complete the FAFSA. You can get the FAFSA for trade school.

To Ensure That You Meet Basic Eligibility For Financial Aid For Vocational School, You Must:

  • Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Have a valid Social Security number
  • Be registered with the Selective Service (if you are a male between the age of 18 and 25)
  • Not have any federal student loans in default

Types of Financial Aid:

Several types of Financial Aid and Grants for trade school students are available. These are the following:

Federal Pell Grant

  • Primarily available to low-income undergraduate students
  • Available to every student who qualifies

Federal Direct Subsidized Loan

  • Available to undergraduate students who have financial need
  • An interest rate of 4.53% percent for new loans disbursed during the 2019-2020 award year

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan

  • Available to undergraduate students
  • No requirement to prove financial need
  • An interest rate of 4.53% percent for new loans disbursed during the 2019-2020 award year

Federal PLUS Loan

  • Available to parents of undergraduate students
  • An interest rate of 7.08% percent for new loans disbursed during the 2019-2020 award year

Veterans Benefits

  • A variety of education benefits are available to American military veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs. For example, the Post-9/11 GI Bill pays up to the total cost of a college education for veterans who qualify. In some cases, that benefit can even be transferred to dependents.
